Whatever you want, there's no hard rules to emojis. I personally love using it to emphasize that something possibly mean-sounding is actually in good spirit and just being playful

It usually implies some sort of sense of joking -- being silly, goofy, sarcastic, or messing with someone. Depending on the context, it definitely can be silly with a side of flirting, but it's subtle and depends on the context.

Being confident is attractive, so if you’re confident with your upside-down smile or your downside-up smile, then people will be attracted to that.
