2024年9月18日 · The inaugural platform is constructed entirely from scratch for each inaugural ceremony and is designed to blend architecturally with the U.S. Capitol. Planning and design of the platform began more than a year ago, spearheaded by the Architect of the Capitol.

The completed platform will hold approximately 1,600 inaugural guests, including members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, Supreme Court justices, former presidents, and the president and vice president and their families.
