How to interpret Subcooling on a Fixed orfice system - HVAC-Talk
2012年4月4日 · With a txv Superheat should maintain 10-15 +5/-3, so 7-20 is tolarable. I shoot for somewhere in that range even with an orfice. Also you can always check your subcooling to verify your charge is correct, or as a diagnostic tool as you are in this situation, a good rule of thumb is 8-14, unless you have a charging curve or a required subcooling.

2014年2月17日 · Subcooling also ensures that there is no flash gas at the expansion valve and it increases the capacity of the valve, in some cases allowing us to select a valve that is smaller than what might be needed without subcooling.
Goodman SSX160361BA compressor required subcooling - HVAC …
2014年9月12日 · The tech just topped off the system but he charged $/lb and I'm just trying to figure out if he did it correctly since the pressure converted to temperature is the same as line temperature. I thought the line temperature should be the chart temperature - required subcooling. The metering dvice is a TXV.
Indoor TXV Subcooling value on label? - HVAC-Talk
2010年5月25日 · I'm familiar with subcooling and superheating (I think), and my understanding is that superheating is taking place at the evaporator and is controlled by the TXV. And I notice that the label on the inside of the cover has the required subcooling values for charging - which do make sense to me. So what does Indoor TXV Subcooling 15 degrees mean?
What is Subcooling? - HVAC-Talk
2009年8月10日 · To measure the subcooling you need to put temp. probe right before the metering device, typically the only time you need the subcool is if you are running a TXV metering device. Since it regulates the refrig. it controls the superheat and so when you put your gauge on the high side and lets say your temp. is 110/225psig (R-22) and your probe ...

2024年6月8日 · Subcooling reduces the heat content of the entering liquid - so a greater percentage of the total available refrigerating-effect is available to cool the evaporator. That is why subcooling increases Evaporator performance. PHM-----

2012年2月4日 · when TRANE came out with the first RTAAs they were all short and ran Bs to the walls on loaded starts..till feed back from the techs all over the place. the subcooling is the only way to check the charge on a fully loaded "hellical" if this is a compressor like that so forget the sightglasses when doing sub short its high numbers close to charges is low as you said.no …
Is subcooling the best way to charge 410a? - HVAC-Talk
2010年8月25日 · Bryant/Carrier 410a systems with a TXV have a subcooling of 8 to 16. Check the data plate or the table inside the cover for the subcooling for the specific model/tonnage. Make sure airflow is right, charge fixed orifice by superheat, TXV by subcooling. After getting the subcooling right you can check the superheat to make sure the TXV is working.

2014年6月19日 · They also have low subcooling because the receiver prevents liquid refrigerant from stacking up in the condenser as it does in a residential A/C unit. With an A/C unit you add refrigerant and the subcooling increases because that added refrigerant ends up in the condenser where it gets subcooled.

2015年1月22日 · Some equipment have motorized Expansion Valves which allow them to run nearly 0F liquid subcooling (but they usually still need some because it is still a valve that was selected based on subcooling). You can easily design a system with nearly 0F subcooling and have it work, however, it will require much larger liquid lines and expansion valves.
