The Original Floyd is superior, and the subsequent models got inferior metal in their baseplates and cast saddles. Those other floyds are just dumbed down versions to sell to oem manufacturers to keep the price down.

Basically, in his 15 years experience in owning a shop, he feels that any Floyd Rose copy will basically do the same thing. They all stay in tune very well and are sturdy enough for normal applications.

FWIW, I've used Ernie Ball, D'addario, SIT, DR, GHS, Thomastik Infeld, and Dean Markley, all in gauges ranging from 9-42 to 18-80 with Floyd trems, and none was so better/worse that it really made a difference.

2009年9月26日 · Re: Floyd Rose Bar wiggle... any fix for that? There are 2 parts to it, The Barrel (which is on the floyd base) and The Collar (which is on the the Arm). If the Barrel is loose, there is an Allen Key screw on the underside of the Floyd that you can tighten up, if that doesn't work, try removing the screw, adding a washer, and retightening.

2015年6月19日 · Original Floyd Rose trems are supposed to be the best engineered on the market. If big blocks are an upgrade over the stock block, then they should come as standard. As it is, they are creating a market for upgrade blocks by intentionally not supplying them as standard, all the while making claims about well thought out quality engineering.
