2024年1月21日 · By default, the new router wants to use 192.168.1.1 as its local IP address. (192.168.0.1 is the address that many modem/routers go for.) If it finds another router it will go for something else, 10.0.0.1 is a regular fallback. So, yes, it is normal behaviour, but it is a bad idea. You can end up with network issues.

2018年10月1日 · Under my current network setup, I am unable to access my modem setup pages. My Default Gateway is 10.0.0.1, which is the IP address of my Orbi. If I attempt to access the last known modem IP address of 192.168.1.1, I get a time out (Firefox) or a page not found (Edge). So, the modem is in transparent bridge mode, and the Orbi is in Router mode.

2019年9月17日 · Reason that the Orbi is getting a 10.0.0.1 address is that the default IP address of 192.168.1.1 that Orbi normally uses is in conflict with one of the modems. Thus the Orbi changes to something that doesn't conflict with that IP address.

2015年9月1日 · Obviously, 10.0.0.1 is not the assigned IP address of the main router since it is in 192.168 subnet. I recommend resetting the Nighthawk to factory default and do the setup again. If you will set it as an Access Point it should be on the same subnet of the main router which is 192.168.x.x. Same goes with the printer for it to work.

2021年8月19日 · You can manually change that IP address to 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Doesn't have to be 10. Orbi only detected that your old router was using same 192.168.1.1 address thus Orbi changed to 10. It won't auto change back if the other router was removed. You can leave it or change it.
