2022年2月5日 · The original also allows the player full control of their movement, and 64 DS feels both jarring, and worse to move around in because it forces you to move in one of 8 directions. Super Mario 64 DS added some nice features that the original did not have, but pretty much the entirety of the base game is worse than the original.

Yes the DS version is locked in 8 directions, but there’s also improvements with the physics, like when you slide from a slope, it’s a lot easier to get your footing back; the slope physics in general are lot better in the DS version.
