Reply To: Negative Cell Volume Detected in Dynamic Meshing
Negative volume usually means you've moved the mesh too far in one timestep so the cells have collapsed. Try reducing the step to avoid that. For the whole domain moving you may need to rethink the moving mesh approach, have a look for tutorials and go from there: others in the community will need to […]

Hello to everyone. I have the same problem. I was able to import a stl file into spaceclaim then correct and clean it and finally convert to solid body. Then I imported it into the mesh section . The solid body is made up of so many facets so i'm not able to do the […]
Re: Need to understand concept of without meshing & how the …
Hello SagarLive Did you try increasing the fidelity setting and check the results? What graphics card are you using? Are there any thin geometries/sections in the model? If yes, then Discovery Live may not capture thin regions depending on the overall dimensions of the model. Please check if this is the case with your model. […]

I have attach an image of the face/surface that I am using for surface droplet injections. This annular region is the upper portion of a BWR .So , obviously the volume fraction of DPM is between 0-20%. Yes, the particles are inert. I have attached another image describing the boundaries ,zones, internal surface .Please see […]

Thank you for your reply but I don't think this is a FSI problem and in my problem it's just connection between perforated plate and fluid. And in my problem in the refrence problem it uses connection between them so I must keep solid body in my geometry.n n
Reply To: Meshing a very low diameter and length tube rasio
How can I differentiate external pressure (that works on outer face tube) & internal pressure (that works on inner face tube) on this shell mode? What I can model is only the internal pressure (Caustic pressure) but the steam pressure that works at the outside pipe, I still can't figure it out how to model […]

My guess is that you have lots of sharp angles on the matrix surface. When you mesh this is creating very poor cells in the system. If you look at the quality graph and adjust the scale you'll be able to pick the columns of rubbish cells which will show you where they are.

You show a solid body that has 8 faces, not 4 faces, since it has the topology of a U-channel. Have you examined this geometry in SpaceClaim on the Repair tab and removed extra edges and extra points? If you want a clean and uniform hex mesh, slice that solid body up into 5 bodies: […]
