Sometimes siding repairs can be tricky. This is a wall exposed to a lot of sun and is about 20 years old. The homeowner wanted this piece replaced because it has a hole in it. The piece I replaced it with is a partial piece from the same west facing wall on the side of the house with less traffic, but also less sun - so it isn’t as faded. This is basically home-made siding made out of aluminum coil. Though it takes a while to make, it allows for a finish that will last for years as seen in the video. The first project shown had 12’ pieces at the tallest point in the gable. We’ve gone through many temperature changes and lots of 65 mph wind storms over the last decade.
