What would you do? While filming in remote Alaska, we observed bears fishing for salmon in the distance. Suddenly, a large bear emerged from the tall grass, walking in our direction. Instead of hastily gathering our gear and projecting panic, we remained still and calm. As the crew calmly gathered the equipment, I held my ground, read the bear’s non-aggressive body language, and pulled out bear spray just in case.
