Academy Award winner Sarah Polley was so sure she wasn’t going to win, she bet on another movie in an Oscars pool. The Canadian writer and director of Women Talking had put her money on All Quiet on the Western Front for best adapted screenplay. “They were definitely going to win that award,” she told CBC chief correspondent Adrienne Arsenault.
